(Hull Daily Mail, January 2008)
Hull: A city-based insurance brokers and risk management company has undergone a management reshuffle.
Rixon Matthews Appleyard, an independent company based in Estuary Park carried out the changes to boost it's development for the new year.
As part of the move, former finance director Roger Gillingwater has become managing director.
Jo Clarkson, managing director of ProAktive Risk Management, which has offices in Doncaster and Hull, becomes operations manager at Rixon Matthews Appleyard.
Clive Owen takes on the newly-created role of director of development for the company's All Seasons service.
He will oversee the company's national development from it's headquarters.
The All Seasons service, which Rixon Matthews Appleyard launched 20 years ago, is among the company's fastest-growing areas, providing insurance cover for commercial growers and glasshouses throughout the UK.
Growth in the service means it now represents a third of the £13m premium cover at the business.
The company employs 44 staff and is part of the ProAktive Group, one of Yorkshire's biggest independent insurance brokers and risk managers.
ProAktive Group chief executive, Jon Whiteley, said: "These appointments make the best use of our experience and services in an increasingly tough and hardening market."
