Insurance for Barn Conversions, Property Conversions or Renovation projects

The DMS Self-build Site Insurance Policy enables those converting or renovating their own property, including barns, to create a package of insurance to suit their needs.

The site insurance provides Employers Liability, Public Liability, Contract Works and cover for existing structure.  This meets the requirements of Banks and Building Societies. Additional covers can be selected to meet individual needs.

One single premium is payable to provide cover until the work is finished or for eighteen months, whichever is sooner, and this period may be extended after 18 months upon application.

Standard Cover includes:

• Employers Liability Insurance at £ 10,000,000
• Public Liability Insurance at £2,000,000
• Contract Works and Existing Structure Insurance, tailored to meet your individual needs.

Optional Cover includes:

• Plant and Tools Owned by The Proposer
• Plant and Tools Owned by Employees or Subcontractors
• Plant and Tools Hired in for either short or long term
• Caravan and outbuildings
